Installation: Salty World

With the installation Salty World, Bahar covers objects, clothes, and stories of everyday life with salt to focus attention on the viewer's own memory and remembrance in a game of correspondences and cross-references between past and present.

Salt is a primary element that is used daily in cooking and is also one of the components of the human body.

Various are its properties: it melts, it gives flavor, it disinfects. It has the characteristic of changing its state according to the atmosphere and characteristics of the place where it is located.

For the exhibition, the floor of the exhibition space has been completely covered with coarse-grained salt that visitors can walk on, listening to the jarring sound of it.

It is the "noise" of the pain of open wounds, of a difficult experience without freedom, to which the artist himself gives voice.
