Intimate and political significance. The site-specific installation Mattoni di Memoria (Bricks of Memory) takes shape as a slow and conscious construction. The act of building recalls the poetics already explored.

The construction of a wall becomes a metaphor with multiple meanings: it identifies it as a collective organism, a community made up of individuals, each with their own uniqueness and fragility, like the individual bricks that compose it. On the other hand, the wall is separation, a barrier imposed by geographical, cultural and political boundaries.

Bahar remembers the individuals, innocent victims who fought for freedom and justice, paying for their struggle with their lives, and states: ‘This wall is like a shield. All dictators use this kind of shield to protect themselves.’

The artist invites the viewer to consider the price of freedom and not to forget the stories of those who fought for it. A border that invites us to question and cross it.
